Every Saturday, the Women’s Medical Center of Rhode Island is the target of anti-choice protesters. They come with huge, offensive signs and do their best to intimidate and shame women entering the clinic.
This happens every single Saturday.
We say: Enough is enough. Abortion is healthcare, and healthcare is a human right.

On Saturday, February 25th, the usual group of women-harassing protesters will not be the only ones on the sidewalk outside the clinic; another anti-choice group called “40 Days For Life” are planning a mass, march, and vigil called, “The March of the Surviving Youth”. They’ll have a special mass at St. Paul’s church, march down to the Broad Street clinic to say the rosary, then have a rally at St. Paul’s School.
It will likely begin early, 8am or so, and will continue on until 12:15pm.

Well, we intend to be in front of that clinic before they are, holding our beautiful, supportive signs celebrating every woman’s right to choose without fear, harassment, or shame.
We will gather to express our love of and respect for women, and our commitment to defending *every* woman’s right to decide what happens to her own body.
Please join us. Speak out against these people who would sooner see a woman die than be able to obtain a safe, legal abortion. Show them that they will no longer be allowed free reign to shout a woman down simply for walking into a clinic that provides abortions. As states pass laws that attempt to limit and restrict abortion access, and as radical right-wing religious groups protest outside clinics in order to intimidate women seeking abortions and their doctors, it’s as important as ever to make it clear that we are not going ANYWHERE.

***We’ll be there all morning, and you can join us anytime, but PLEASE come at *8am* (or even a little before) if you can! Bring signs (colorful and positive!) and your friends!***

Celebrate choice!
